MIT Collier Memorial, Cambridge, MA, USA

ODB has been invited to do the masonry engineering for a permanent memorial to MIT Police Officer Sean Collier.

The memorial, designed by MIT Architecture Professor J. Meejin Yoon, is situated at the spot where Collier was shot on April 18, 2013, between the Ray and Maria Stata Center and the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at the northwestern corner of MIT’s North Court. It is a massive, unreinforced masonry structure in granite.
